Karolina Bik has been fascinated with the world of jewelry ever since her grandmother gave her little red ash wood beads, when she was just a baby in a cradle. Currently her art is leaning towards precious materials which she transforms into sharp, dynamic or sometimes subtle and dreamlike forms. She attended jewelry classes at Edinburgh College of Arts and at the School of Applied Arts in Wrocław. She has taken part in many individual exhibitions, for example: Chaos (Lithuania), Mariposa II (Spain), There Will Be Blood (Spain), In the beginning it is all about love (Belgium), Limited Edition Project (Scotland), Arts and Crafts Supermarket (Italy), Baroque Pearl Exposition Barocco (Japan, Taiwan, China), European Prize For Aplied Arts 2009 (Belgium), Exposition Le Rouge (France), 17th International Silverart Competition EXCLUSIVE (Poland), and numerous others. Her works have appeared in many prestigious and respected publications, like: 500 Rings i 500 Necklaces (published by Lark Books) and post-exhibition catalogues. Worth mentioning is also a publication in British Vogue and Italian Vogue Gioiello. Karolina runs her own column, called "Point of View...", in the "Polish Jeweler" magazine, where she interviews other artists about their passion for jewelry.
